He then did his cardiology training at Onze Lieve Vrouw Hospital in Aalst, where he graduated as a cardiologist in 2003 under the late Dr Andries and Prof Brugada. Afterwards, he took over as chief physician from Dr Paul Kennis in a doctor's house located on Mechelsesteenweg. In 2024, he founded the Doctors' House Antverpia together with 12 specialists, and now leads a team of 22 doctors' specialists in various disciplines.<\/p><\/span><span><p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/span><span><p>His expertise and areas of work:<\/p><\/span><span><ul><\/span><span><li>Clinical cardiology<\/li><\/span><span><li>Echocardiography<\/li><\/span><span><li>Invasive cardiology<\/li><\/span><span><li>Emergency medicine<\/li><\/span><span><li>Preventive screenings and check-ups<\/li><\/span><span><\/ul><\/span><span><p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/span><span><p>What distinguishes Dr Schellemans is his broad outlook: he combines high-tech cardiological knowledge with the human values he inherited early on during his Jesuit training.
