Dr Dero Isabel
Dr Isabel Dero graduated from KUL in 2006 as a Gastro-Enterologist. She then became a staff member of Gastro-Enterology at Ghent University Hospital and obtained her professional title in Digestive Oncology. This was followed by an appointment within the GZA hospitals at the end of 2009. In 2021, she became an associate physician in Gastro-Enterology at the UZA and joined the Palliative Care team within GZA , currently as Head of Service. Given her particular interest in Digestive Oncology, primary prevention is also central. Dr Dero is in charge of endoscopic examinations (gastroscopy and coloscopy) as well as clinical and ultrasound examinations of the abdomen.
