Dr Lieselot Potums
Dr Lieselot Potums graduated as a doctor from KU Leuven in 2018 and completed her specialisation in general surgery in 2024. During her training, she gained experience in both conventional and endovascular vascular surgery at the Imelda Hospital in Bonheiden, the KLINA General Hospital in Brasschaat and the University Hospital Leuven, Gasthuisberg Campus. Her training also covered the care of patients with complex wound problems and the management of vascular access for dialysis patients. Following a two-year fellowship, during which she spent one year working at Antwerp University Hospital and one year at Imelda Hospital in Bonheiden, specialising further in endovascular techniques, she obtained her certificate of specialised competence in vascular surgery in 2026. From 1 November, she will also be working at AZ Monica, where she will specialise in general open vascular surgery, minimally invasive endovascular surgery and phlebological conditions, whilst also taking an interest in complex wound care and vascular access.
