Dr Vandenbroucke Elke
Dr Vandenbroucke has been a pneumologist since 2008. She graduated as a doctor from KU Leuven in 2002, where she further specialised in internal medicine and lung diseases. She enjoyed training in Roeselare, Singapore, Nieuwegein and Leuven. From 2008 to 2009, she did a fellowship at the thoracic oncology department of UZ Gent and the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Dutch Cancer Institute and obtained the special professional title in oncology. From 2009 to 2024, Dr Vandenbroucke served as pneumologist and thoracic oncologist at AZ Monica and consultant for bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound at UZA. You can visit her for a complete lung function examination, allergy tests, diagnosis and treatment of asthma, COPD, lung cancer detection, interstitial lung diseases, pleural diseases such as due to asbestos as well as smoking cessation counselling.Member of the Belgian Respiratory Society (BeRS), European Respiratory Society (ERS), Thoracic Oncology Group Antwerp (TOGA) and European Lifestyle Medicine Organisation (ELMO).
