Dr Waelbers Valerie
Dr Valerie Waelbers graduated as a doctor from KULeuven in 2011 and completed her specialisation as a general surgeon in 2017. During her training, she gained extensive experience at Oost-Limburg Hospital (Genk), Jessa Hospital (Hasselt), Imelda Hospital (Bonheiden) and UZ Leuven. In 2019, she obtained a certificate of special competence in vascular surgery, following a two-year fellowship at UZ Leuven under the supervision of Prof Dr Fourneau. In May the same year, she passed the European examination in vascular surgery and became a Fellow of the European Board of Vascular Surgery (FEBVS). Since 1 September 2019, Dr Waelbers has been working as a vascular surgeon at AZ Monica Hospital in Deurne.
