Making an appointment

Neurological consultation

Are you coming to the consultation for the first time with a headache problem? Our headache expert will help you address your headache symptoms. These can significantly hamper your daily functioning. The goal is to get you to a correct diagnosis. After which, together, we look for the ideal approach for your headache. Follow-up is done together with your GP. Via our Migrainemanager app, you receive information about your illness, but a headache diary is also kept. This information is then reviewed together every consultation. In preparation for the first appointment, we ask you to complete a questionnaire at home beforehand. The questionnaire serves to better understand your headache symptoms and past treatments? You can fill it in digitally and mail it to contact@doktershuisantverpia.com or fill it out on paper and bring it with you to the first consultation. It is possible that on that day, we ourselves investigations perform, such as an ElectroEncephaloGram (EEG). This measures brain activity. Or we schedule a brain imaging at the hospital at a later date. We then make a treatment plan on to combat your symptoms. This also consists of lifestyle advice to reduce your headaches. Do you have important medication changes? Then it is best to schedule a video consultation after 4 weeks. This allows us to get on the ball faster in case of problems.
