Dermatoscan

A dermatoscan is a medical procedure used to examine and analyse the skin, especially for detecting skin cancer, such as melanoma, and other skin abnormalities. It is a non-invasive technology often used by dermatologists to monitor suspicious moles or skin changes.

What exactly does that mean?

Our strength is that you can consult a team of specialists during one appointment, as well as have a battery of medical examinations. Our team of specialists includes a cardiologist, internist gastroenterologist, vascular surgeon, urologist, nose-throat-ear specialist and gynaecologist. The screening is followed by a discussion with the specialist and, at the latest within a week, a complete medical report with the results and your personal recommendations (e.g. adjusting lifestyle, starting medication, referral to another specialist or for further examination, etc.).

Why a dermatoscan?

A dermatoscan is a non-invasive examination used to analyse the skin in detail. Using special magnification and illumination, the doctor can accurately assess suspicious moles or skin abnormalities. This examination is mainly used for early detection of skin cancer, such as melanoma, and to monitor changes in the skin over time. The goal? Detect abnormalities early, assess risks and take further steps, such as a biopsy or treatment, if necessary. Do you have a suspicious skin spot, is a mole changing colour or shape, or just want to have your skin checked? If so, be sure to make an appointment for a dermatoscopic examination.

Do you have complaints or is it time for a general check-up?

A dermatoscan can provide important clues to detect any health problems early.
