Pulmonary function tests
Lung function tests investigate how well your lungs are working. Through measurements such as spirometry or body plethysmography, we map lung capacity, airflow and gas exchange.
What exactly does that mean?
Our strength is that you can consult a team of specialists during one appointment, as well as have a battery of medical examinations. Our team of specialists includes a cardiologist, internist gastroenterologist, vascular surgeon, urologist, nose-throat-ear specialist and gynaecologist. The screening is followed by a discussion with the specialist and, at the latest within a week, a complete medical report with the results and your personal recommendations (e.g. adjusting lifestyle, starting medication, referral to another specialist or for further examination, etc.).
Why lung function tests?
A pulmonary function test examines how well your lungs are working. Through measurements such as spirometry or body plethysmography, we map lung capacity, airflow and gas exchange. The goal? These tests are performed for symptoms such as shortness of breath, cough or shortness of breath. They help detect or monitor conditions such as asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis or other lung diseases. Accurate analysis allows us to start the right treatment and better monitor your lung health.
