Duplex survey

A duplex examination is a combination of ultrasound and measurement of blood flow in blood vessels. With it, we visualise arteries and veins, such as those in the neck, abdomen, legs or arms. This examination helps early detection and monitoring of narrowing, occlusion or dilation of blood vessels.

What exactly does that mean?

Our strength is that you can consult a team of specialists during one appointment, as well as have a battery of medical examinations. Our team of specialists includes a cardiologist, internist gastroenterologist, vascular surgeon, urologist, nose-throat-ear specialist and gynaecologist. The screening is followed by a discussion with the specialist and, at the latest within a week, a complete medical report with the results and your personal recommendations (e.g. adjusting lifestyle, starting medication, referral to another specialist or for further examination, etc.).

Why a duplex examination?

A duplex examination is a safe, painless technique that uses ultrasound and Doppler to image blood vessels. In the process, both the structure of arteries and veins and blood flow are accurately evaluated, all in real-time. The goal? It detects constrictions, blockages or dilations in blood vessels that can affect circulation and lead to symptoms or risks. For symptoms such as leg pain when walking, swelling, or increased risk of cardiovascular disease, a duplex examination can provide crucial information. Do not hesitate to have a check-up in time.

Do you have complaints or is it time for a general check-up?

A duplex examination can provide important clues to detect any health problems early.
