Gynaecological ultrasound
A gynaecological ultrasound is an examination in which we use sound waves to image the uterus, ovaries and surrounding structures. This is done with an internal (vaginal) or external (through the abdomen) probe, depending on the situation.
What exactly does that mean?
Our strength is that you can consult a team of specialists during one appointment, as well as have a battery of medical examinations. Our team of specialists includes a cardiologist, internist gastroenterologist, vascular surgeon, urologist, nose-throat-ear specialist and gynaecologist. The screening is followed by a discussion with the specialist and, at the latest within a week, a complete medical report with the results and your personal recommendations (e.g. adjusting lifestyle, starting medication, referral to another specialist or for further examination, etc.).
Why gynaecological ultrasound?
A gynaecological ultrasound is an examination in which we use sound waves to image the uterus, ovaries and surrounding structures. This is done with an internal (vaginal) or external (through the abdomen) probe, depending on the situation. The goal? This ultrasound helps detect the causes of menstrual problems, abdominal pain, fertility problems or other gynaecological complaints. It is a safe and reliable method for timely detection of abnormalities and targeted further treatment.
Do you have complaints or is it time for a general check-up?
A gynaecological ultrasound can provide important clues to detect any health problems early.
